Harry D. Dixon, Sr. was born in Fairfax, MO, and passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, in Omaha. He served in the US Army during World War II in Europe and Africa. Following a career with Burlington Northern Railroad, he enjoyed a long retirement in Mesa, AZ, before returning to Omaha where he resided at Immanuel Village. Preceded in death by parents, Grover and Nora Dixon; loving wife of 66 years, Mary (Chancey) Dixon; second wife, Alene (Smith) Dixon; son, Harry D. Dixon, Jr., and all of his siblings. Survived by his daughter-in-law, Joyce A. Dixon; grandson, H. Dale Dixon III (Mary "Billie"); great grandchildren, Emily Jetter (Michael), Paul Dixon, Michael Dixon; great great granddaughter, Cecilia Jetter; many nieces, nephews and cousins. GRAVESIDE SERVICE and inurnment will take place at English Grove Cemetery in Fairfax, MO, at 11am, on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
