Deborah Helen Ross, age 64, passed away November 14, 2020 peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by her loved ones, after losing her battle with breast cancer.
Deborah was born on February 7, 1956 in Omaha, NE to Gladys Marlene Drew and Ewing Ross.
She worked for many years as a Behavioral Health Tech at Campus for Hope (Center Pointe) and was a beacon of light and was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Deborah was known not only as Mom and grandma, but as Ms. Deb for a lot of people in her AA circle. Her recovery was pivotal in her life and she not only preached and spread the word of the Big Book but lived by it as well. She never hesitated to share her experiences of strength and hope; be the voice of reason; or simply say “This too shall pass” leaving you to reach your own conclusion about the conundrums of life.
Deborah is survived by her younger brother Monty Ross; daughter LaTrisha Anderson; son Dustin Smith; daughter Niema Smith; daughter Pearlie Best; son Ricky Sanders; 13 – grandchildren; and 8 – great grandchildren.
Her service will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home at 10am.
