Curtis Richard Hicks

Curtis Richard Hicks of Mead, Nebraska, age 65, born September 21, 1957, died in his home on March 7, 2023. He showed his true Marine Corps strength in battling serious medical issues in recent years, but he did so with a smile on his face (and corny dad jokes in his pocket). Despite the pain, Curtis came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Curtis is survived by his four children, Marvin Hicks, Karen Hicks, Kevin Hicks, and Thomas Hicks; his seven grandchildren, Donald, Carmen, Brogan, Ryver, Stormy, Matthew, and Gideon; ex-wives, Barbara Hicks-Karasek, Tammy Hardy, and Lydia Hicks; siblings, Wesley Luse (Kathy), Diane Russell (George Jr.), Steve Hicks (Paula), Lewis Hicks (Diana), Marlene Carlson (Jeff), William Hicks, and Estelle Dorie Piskorski; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Hicks and Doris (Hicks) Quick; and siblings, Roger, Marvin, Ellen, and Donna.

A visitation for Curtis will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.

Curtis will be laid to rest in Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
