Leslie Diane Beckstrom (1945 ~ 2013) - Di passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the South Okanagan General Hospital, Oliver surrounded by the love of her family after a long battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered by husband, Eugene Beckstrom; children, Kim and Ray, Creston, B.C. Craig, Aldergrove, B.C. and Trent, Mission, B.C. Loving grandmother to Jenny, Bobby (Brandy), Leah, Loren and Winston. Great-grandmother to Tyler and Miranda. Survived by brothers, Glen, Larry and Rod and sisters, Pam and Lori. Predeceased by her father, Les and mother Virginia; sister, Marilyn and brother-in-law George. Di was a bookkeeper for Mission Community Services and spent many hours volunteering with the centre. She enjoyed the 12 years Eugene and her spend RVing full time and she loved to sew. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 97 Oliver. Her ashes will be scattered at the Oliver Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the BC Cancer Society, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5L3 would be appreciated by the family.
