Stella Kate Powell

Stella Kate Powell, 89, passed away February 20, 2020 at her home in Byhalia, Mississippi. She was a long time member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. Stella was a hard worker and enjoyed gardening, talking on the phone, caring for animals, and going to the grocery store. She leaves behind one great grandchild, Aubree Waldrop; three grandchildren, who she loved more than anything in the world, Matthew Smith, Ashley Powell, and Kenneth A. Powell; and one son, Kenneth Powell. Stella is preceded in death by her husband Sylvester Powell, her parents James and Metta Bogan, one sister, and five brothers. Visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 2pm, at Brantley Funeral Home 6875 Cockrum St., Olive Branch, MS with burial to follow at Boggan Cemetery.
