Richard Cordle, 71, of Greenwood, MS, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at his home. Mr. Cordle was preceded in death by his father, James Richard Cordle. He is survived by his wife, Linda Cordle, his mother, Shirley Cordle, his children, Michelle Windham (Keith) and Anthony Cordle (Carrie), two sisters, Janice Sumler and Aleeta Smith, eight grandchildren, TJ Davis (Stephanie), Mike Davis, Tyler Bradley (Liz), Cody Bradley, Amanda Lacey (Buster), "Little" Anthony Cordle (Julie), Wesley Ammons (Lauren), and Dustin Cordle, as well as ten great-grandchildren, Andon, Myles, Camden, Molly, Maggie, Mana, Asce, Veronica, Jonathan, and Isabella. Mr. Cordle was a people person and loved to make people smile. He talked to everyone and he loved to make deer jerky. Mr. Cordle loved to tell stories of his work through the years with aircraft and his travels to different countries for work. He loved to help his loving wife Linda grow peppers, tomatoes, and flowers, and enjoyed showing his family pictures of the flowers he had grown. He was patriotic and he loved the American flag, eagles, and all that represented freedom. He liked to donate blood whenever the bloodmobile was in town. He was a legend to his family and in the aircraft industry. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 2pm until the memorial service begins at 3:30pm, all in the chapel of Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Go Fund Me account of Mr. Richard Cordle.
