Mary Louise Hunt Ragsdale (Maw Maw) 101, of Olive Branch, MS, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Senatobia Health Care. Born on August 1, 1916 to Zula Mason Hunt and Brooks Hunt. Louise married W.L (Bill) Ragsdale in 1932 and became the mother of four children, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren and twenty-one great great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Don Ragsdale (Karen), Mary Pate (Jim), Daughter-in-law, Margaret Ragsdale, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Life long resident of Olive Branch and a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs Ragsdale was preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Bill Ragsdale, son, E.L. (Scooter) Ragsdale, daughter, Betty Ann Stevenson, brothers, James and Marion Hunt, sister, Catherine Jobe, grandson, Bryan Ragsdale and her son in law, Bobby Stevenson. Our mother was a very remarkable and sweet lady with great zest to live life to the fullest. She was always delighted for the opportunity to enjoy and fellowship with her family or friends. Our mother was a perfect example of a "True Southern Lady with style and grace." Her presence and love will be missed by many. Our appreciation and gratitude to LifePointe Village and Senatobia Health Care for the tender and loving care given to our mother. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11:00 am at Brantley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Maples Memorial United Methodist Church in Olive Branch, MS.
