Kevin Houston Brown

Kevin Houston Brown, 62, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Methodist Olive Branch surrounded by his family. Kevin was born on April 25, 1961 to Jimmy and Pat Brown in Tupelo, Ms. Kevin was a professional musician. His heart and soul was in music. Kevin was a member of Victory Church and played in the church choir. He was a carpenter all his life and worked for Brazzel. Kevin enjoyed being outdoors and loved his dog, Cooter Brown. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, friend, and will be missed dearly. Kevin was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Houston Brown,II; granddaughter, Savannah Grace Brown; grandparents, Troy and Lou Ethel Brown, Mabel and Stanley Burleson. He leaves behind his parents, Jimmy and Pat Brown of Byhalia, MS; daughter, Patty Childers (Jake) of Ripley, Ms; two brothers, Chet Brown, Mark Brown; two granddaughters, Jettie Grace Childers, Ollie Rose Childers, and two nephews, Barry Brown and Patrick Brown. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery in Byhalia, MS.
