Byhalia - JUANITA BARRETT STEVENS, 86, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013. There will be a gathering of friends on Saturday, October 26 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., with services to follow at 10 a.m. at the Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS. Juanita was a member of the Meadow Brook Baptist Church in Byhalia, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert L. Barrett and her parents, William A. Alexander and Myrtle Goodin Alexander. She leaves her husband of 25 years, James Stevens; daughter, Oretta Barrett Dempsey; sons, Jerry Leon Barrett (Mimi) and Tommy Barrett; sisters, Avis Alexander Hall (Bobby) and Maxine Alexander Stroisch (John). She also leaves eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Juanita was a loving mother, wife and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
