Jimmy Dale Nabors, 74, of Olive Branch, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at his home. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 27, all at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, TN at 2 p.m. Born in Eupora, MS, Mr. Nabors was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and he was the owner of Jim Nabors, LLC Transportation. A longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Jimmy was an avid NASCAR fan, and will be remembered as a hardworking, dedicated family man who never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edna Nabors; 2 brothers, and his sister. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maurine Nabors; his son, Dale Nabors; his daughter, Brenda Stringer and her husband, Ray; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Cox, Savannah Nabors, and Brittany Cox; 4 brothers, Thomas J. Nabors, Jr. (Decell), John Nabors (Kit), Charlie Nabors (Bobbie), and Larry Nabors; his sister, Ruth Edna Threatt; and a host of other relatives.
