Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Ray was born in Memphis TN, on 24 March 1942 to Mary and Ray Osborne. He entered the USAF on 1 June 1961 and completed active duty/ Reserve service on 1 April 1965. Ray married the love of his life on May 24 1964. Ray and Mary Ann moved with their two children to Southaven, MS in April of 1967. Ray worked for the USDA until completing his electrical engineering degree at Memphis Technical Institute. Ray joined the TN Air National Guard in Jan of 1980. He youth coached Softball in Southaven for many years winning league and conference and state championships. He completed an outstanding career with the Air Guard on 29 Dec 1997 and retired with Honor. At that time found is true passion for racing with SCCA. Ray raced in the “H” production class and garnered rookie of the year honors on 2007 at the age of 65 with his 1967 Austin Healey When not racing his favorite thing to do was watch his grandchildren play sports, dance and play in the Band.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ann, His children Teresa, David & Michelle(Shellee), His grandchildren, Kristyn, Brad, Nina, Nolan, Anna & Will, also by his great grandchildren, Bella, Kynleigh, Kaidyn, & Finley. His sister Jennie, and Brother Rusty.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am 7 Sep 2022 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive branch with Grave side service and Military Honors at 1:00pm at West TN Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at 5:00pm on 6 Sept at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch.
