Edna D. Higgins

Edna D. Higgins, 77, of Byhalia, MS, passed away Thursday May 16, 2019. Ms. Higgins loved and adored her family and was very adamant about "Not borrowing trouble", in other words, not worrying about tomorrow. She truly believed in forgiveness and held to the belief that you couldn't be forgiven without forgiving others. She was the best mother anyone could have. Ms. Higgins was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Johnston, her second husband, Richard Higgins, and her sister, Ruby Asbury. She is survived by two sons, Donald Johnston (Ruth Ann Johnston) and James Gregory Johnston (Lisa Johnston), as well as three grandchildren, Amber Dawn Johnston, John Charles Johnston, and Kerry Leann Johnston, and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening, May 24, 2019 from 5pm until the funeral service begins at 6pm, all at Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch.
