Earl Eugene Floyd, Jr., 61, of Olive Branch, MS went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Earl Floyd, Sr. and Lillie Mae Williams Floyd; brother, Murray Robert “Bobby” Casey; sister, Ruth Marie Floyd; and nephew, Murray Robert “Bo” Casey II. He is survived by his wife, Renee Floyd; children: Kimberly Mae Floyd, Renee Louise Floyd, and Trey Floyd; and sisters, Linda Crum and Cynthia Holley. Earl was an electrician and has been with IBEW Local 474 for nearly 30 years. He overcame a lot of adversity in his life that helped mold him into the man he is today. He was a sincere friend with a genuine care for people. He had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone in need become the best they could be. He was a down to earth guy and was humble and content with the blessings he had in life. Earl was a loving father and husband and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and could be a prankster at times. He was an avid fan of the Ole Miss Rebels. The family will receive friends at Brantley Funeral Home for a time of visitation on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm, also at Brantley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Byhalia Cemetery.
