Dorothy Faye Dunlap Evans McLeod

Dorothy Faye Dunlap Evans McLeod, 89, of Memphis, TN, passed away March 20, 2015. She was born February 21, 1926 to the late Robert and Maudie Irene Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as 3 brothers; Henry, Winford and Billy Dunlap and 3 sisters; Edna Scott, Alise Pittman and Gala Edwards. Dorothy was raised in Horn Lake, MS and worked from 1953 until 1962 at Gem Inc. in Byhalia. She also worked for the V.A. Hospital until retirement.

She is survived by two sons, James (Ruby) Evans and Larry Evans, one granddaughter, Tina (Chris) Leber, 2 great grandchildren, Christina and Hope Jones, one great-great grandson, Jonathan Bradley and her aunt Mrs. E. W. (Fae) Shelton of Bryan, TX. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews as well as cousins in San Antonio, TX.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 also at Brantley Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Hill South.
