Billy Ray Goodwin, 87, son of Mose Drew and Lilli Goodwin was born in Olive Branch, MS on August 28, 1935. He passed away on February 25, 2023 at his home in Holly Bluff, MS. Billy was a Mason at the Grand Lodge of Mississippi (Oak Grove). He loved to fish, tend to his garden, sit outside and watch birds, and spend time with his family. Billy had 3 children: son, Michael Goodwin (Twana) of Holly Bluff, MS; son, Timothy Goodwin of Holly Bluff, MS; and daughter, Angela Dawn Masters (Richie) of Proctor, AR. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Neal and Eva Murphy; 1 brother, Stanley Goodwin; and longtime companion, Mary Lambert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose Drew and Lilli Goodwin; sister, Mary Murphy; and two brothers, James Goodwin and Aubrey Goodwin. A visitation will be held at Brantley Funeral Home on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 12-2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
