OLD TOWN- Roland D. St. Louis Sr., 90, affectionately known as “Bibi” to many, husband to Jean (Burse) St. Louis, dad to five and Pepe to many grandchildren and great grandchildren died May 1, 2020 at an Orono health care facility following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was born February 27, 1930 in Old Town a son of Arthur and Blanche (Landry) St. Louis.
Roland was a lifelong resident of Old Town and a member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church, now Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord, where he attended grade school. A very hard worker, he loved his job as a painter at the University of Maine. He enjoyed making people laugh and helping anyone who needed it. He loved “visiting” family and friends, fishing, and horse racing. He spent most Friday nights having supper and enjoying TV at his wife’s parents home, the late Newman and Ethel (Dalrymple) Burse.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Jean; are five children Dan and his wife Pat (Carroll) St. Louis of FL; Elizabeth (St. Louis) Doucette of Old Town, Diane (St. Louis) Oakes and her husband Chuck of Orrington; Greg and his wife Teresa (Ambrose) St. Louis of Milford and Jeff and his wife Julie (Hussey) St. Louis of Alton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews and two brothers Jamie and Reggie St. Louis. He was predeceased by eight brothers.
The family wishes to thank Orono Commons for their tireless and unparrelled care of our “Dad”. At the request of family, there will be no services or interment. His memories will live on in all of us! Rest in peace, Dad.
