Margaret Mary O'Connor

OLD TOWN - Margaret Mary O'Connor, 87, died Aug. 16, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born May 26, 1923, in Old Town, a daughter of Emanuel and Alma (Willette) Messier. Margaret's family was her life and she enjoyed family gatherings. She is survived by a son, John O'Connor and his wife, Cynthia, of Greenbush; a daughter, Karen Pollard and her husband, Ed, of Monmouth; nine grandchildren, Kristy Rossignol, Julie Allen, Bruce Rossignol, Brian Rossignol, Kelly Day, Brittany Scirica, Lindsay Scirica, James O'Connor and Michael O'Connor; 11 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Terry Dow of Milford; two sisters, Leona Bradley and her husband, William, and Camella Amero, all of Old Town; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. O'Connor in 1962; a son, James E. O'Connor; a daughter, Dianne Rossignol; and six brothers, Thomas, Lloyd, Robert, Bernard, Clayton and Lawrence Messier. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at Resurrection Parish, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Interment will be at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town.
