OLD TOWN—Cathy Lea King, 56, died unexpectedly in her sleep October 9, 2019. She was born November 2, 1962 in Bangor, a daughter of Edward and Donna (Rowell) Emerson.
Family and friends were important to Cathy. She enjoyed being a homemaker and cooking and taking care of her children. She assisted elderly folks (especially at the Penosbcot River House) with her cleaning services and lending a helping hand wherever needed. Facebook allowed her the opportunity to socialize and catch up with her many friends and family, near and far. She enjoyed walking outdoors, being near water, and taking nature pictures. Cathy will be remembered as a loving, generous and thoughtful person.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years David King, Sr.; three children Melissa King and her fiancé Darren Gauthier of Lewiston; David King, Jr. of Old Town; and Emily Pond and her husband Mike of Howland; three grandchildren TJ Rogers, Gabe Reed, and Lucas Gauthier; three brothers Edward, Danny and David Emerson; special friend Janice Fournier, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters; twin sister Candy White and Cindy Dorr.
