Kenneth Daniel Pratt Jr.

Kenneth Daniel Pratt, Jr., age 83, husband of Rita Pratt since 1953 of Westbrook passed away unexpectedly on Monday March 17, 2014, at home after a brief illness with his wife by his side. Mr. Pratt was born on September 25, 1930 in New Haven, CT to Kenneth Sr. and Marion Pratt, previously residing in Norwalk, CT, before retiring in Westbrook. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1948 and attended the University of Bridgeport. Mr. Pratt was employed by Zell Products, Burndy, Marle Company, Nutmeg Hill Computer Services and the YMCA, retiring in 2013. He was active in the East Norwalk Boat Club, the Westbrook Elks Lodge 1784 and the Old Saybrook Senior Bowling League.

Mr. Pratt will be most remembered for his sense of humor and devotion to his family. In addition to his wife, Rita, he is survived by his daughter Patricia Meyer and her husband Robert Meyer of Old Saybrook, his granddaughter Caitlin Meyer, his granddaughter Courtney Lewis and her husband Christopher Lewis, his great granddaughter Avery Lewis, his sister-in-law Nell Pratt, his sister-in-law Florence Koenig and her husband Bruce Koenig, and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

A private funeral will be held by the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
