After High School while working as a telephone operator, she met her husband, Richard. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 2nd, 2023.

She worked as a beauty consultant for Eckerd and subsequently Rite Aid until she retired.
When they were younger, they loved to travel going overseas several times.
They were very involved in the Street Rod culture, traveling all over the US and winning numerous awards with their show cars.
Shirley was the very epitome of a lady. She was beautiful both inside & out, always gracious, kind, & thoughtful. She was a friend to all and genuinely eager to help others in need.
She was equally tough, having battled several serious health conditions throughout her life, including having breast cancer the year her son was born and again the year he graduated from high school.
She was an angel here on earth and we know she will continue to watch over us from heaven. She will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved her.
