Sherri was born in Corbin, Kentucky to Carl and Ealen Staton on August 27, 1956. She was preceded in death by her brothers Gene, Carl Edgar, Larry, and Ronald; and by her husband Malcolm Jerry Allen.
Sherri is survived by her loving companion, Billy Pugh, sister Mary (Larry) Hart of Shelbyville, TN, brother Jerry (Connie) Staton of Murfreesboro, TN and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and step-daughter Candie Allen Elmore of Hendersonville, TN.
Sherri retired from SVMIC after 20 years of service. She loved volunteering for the Friends of Smyrna Library. She also loved traveling with Billy to car shows, flea markets and going sightseeing.
The family would to thank the many friends and family members for their support during her last days. A special thank you goes to the wonderful caregivers at Alive Hospice.
There will be a gathering of family and friends for Sherri's inurnment on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 11am in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Hermite Memorial Gardens, 535 Shute Lane, Old Hickory, Tennessee.
