Michael J. Sexton

Michael J. Sexton, age 69, of Winona, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 unexpectedly in Grandby, Colorado while on a family vacation. A celebration of life memorial service for Michael will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Celebration Lutheran Church, 3425 N Mt Juliet Road, Mt Juliet, TN 37122. Pastor Ed Myers will be officiating.

Mike was born February 20, 1952 in Winona, MN to the late Robert and Darlene (Davis) Sexton. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Victoria; daughter, Kelly Sexton of Cincinnati, OH; son, Matthew (Marina) Sexton of Dallas, TX; 2 grandchildren, Mikayla Sexton and Michelle Sexton. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lori (Sexton) Brogna; and son, Christopher Sexton (39).

Mike spent his career in the food services industry, providing the utmost care and attention to detail. He rose to Director of Operations in a career that took him across the country to MN, WI, MI, OK, IL, and TN. His passion, however, was always music and the Green Bay Packers. He and Vicki retired and moved to Mt. Juliet (outside Nashville) where he pursued this passion in the city known for music and has amassed his amazing collection of vinyl albums, which he proudly displayed. He would be found on a daily basis, listening, searching for, and discussing anything music with an emphasis on his lifelong love for the Beatles or Moody Blues. When not talking about music, he waited patiently for football season when he played every down with his beloved Packers. Win or lose this was his team and attending a game in person was a highlight in his life. Go Pack Go!
