DUNCAN, Melvin Lee Age 81, of Hermitage, TN passed away October 28, 2011. Melvin served in the Korean War as an Army Ranger where he received the Purple Heart Medal. He was an avid golfer and was referred to as the "Mayor" of Ravenwood Country Club and was considered the "King" of corny jokes. Mr. Duncan is preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Ruby Lou Duncan; son, Melvin Lee Duncan, Jr.; parents, Hubert & Catherine Duncan and brother, Kenneth Duncan. He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Tom) Gleaves; son, J. Kyle (Karen) Duncan; brother, Hubert (Joan) Duncan; grandchildren, Robb (Christina) Gleaves, Katie Gleaves, Destiny Gleaves, Taran Gleaves, and Vaughn Duncan; great-grandchildren, Quinn Gleaves and Duncan Gleaves. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Hermitage Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held 10 a.m. until time of the service.
