Age 55, of Nashville, TN died Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was born on February 23, 1962 in Summit, NJ, daughter of the late Nelson Kimball Rogers and Marian Morris Rogers. She grew up in Cartersville, GA, graduated from Cartersville High School, and was an honor graduate of Shorter College in Rome, GA where she earned a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Sociology. Kim was a graphic designer with Thomas Ryan Design in Nashville, TN until her health failed several years ago. She was a faithful member of Hermitage United Methodist Church in Hermitage, TN.
Kimball was talented and smart in many ways. She could play the piano by ear, sing and write songs and poetry, and play killer tennis. Whatever she undertook, she poured herself into it and did well. She was a strong, courageous Christian woman with a big heart, and she fought a valiant battle against her health problems for many years.
Kim is survived by LaVon Napier of Nashville; her mother, Marian Rogers of Cartersville, GA; her brother, Edward M. Rogers and his wife Jeanette of Roswell, GA; her brother, James M. Rogers of Marietta, GA and her nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at Hermitage Funeral Home, Old Hickory, TN on Saturday, September 9th at 3 pm, with Rev. Allen Black and Rev. Chris Seifert officiating. Visitation will be from 1 - 3 pm. A subsequent service will be held at Sam Jones Memorial United Methodist Church in Cartersville, GA on Saturday, September 16th at 2 pm, with the Rev. Nena Jones officiating and visitation prior from 1 - 2 pm.
