Mrs. Stanfield attended Howard High School, Class of 1965. In earlier years, she held positions in the fast-food industry. Her first job was with Burger Boy and she worked at the very first Burger King on Murfreesboro Road in the days when “special orders” had to be called-out rather than keyed into a computer.
Mrs. Stanfield was a fan of the Tennessee Titans, enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas, games shows, and working word search puzzles. In earlier days, she enjoyed going out dancing with her friends and was always a fan of shopping. She was known for arriving to an event up to an hour early to ensure a good parking space or a good seat. She was a great cook and loved preparing big meals for the holidays. She was known to many as “Granny” or “Punkin” and had a fierce love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Stanfield is preceded in death by her father, Hurl Jackson Gregory; mother, Dimple (Crawford) Gregory; her husband, Charles E. Stanfield, Sr.; and her brother, Tom Callahan. She is survived by her son, Charles Stanfield, Jr. (Stacie); daughter, Tonya L. Jarvis (Scott); grandchildren, Charles Stanfield, III (Bethany), Brianna Burden (Nate), Anyssa Villanueva, Anthony Jarvis, Jr. (Megan), Hunter Stanfield, Kayla Murray (Alex), Chris Earles, and Taylor Woodall (Courtney); great grandchildren, Liam Villanueva, A.J.
