Francis D. Corby

Frank was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. After high school, he joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. After serving in the Army, he went to work for IBM. He held several positions at IBM including administrative manager while attending Trevecca Nazarene University. He then sold program services for various companies until his retirement. Mr. Corby was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. In his free time, he enjoyed reading about his Catholic faith and the military.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joan Corby; daughters Kimberly Bullington (Greg) of Clover, South Carolina, and Ashley Corby of Nashville, Tennessee; brother, John F. Corby of San Antonio ,Texas; sister, Mary F. Tyson of Scranton, Pennsylvania; Frank also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mr. Corby is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Corby; and brother, Robert F. Corby.

Services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1219 2nd Avenue South, Nashville on Monday, April 8, 2024. Visitation will begin at 9:30am. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am. Following the Mass, Frank will be entombed at Calvary Cemetery, 1001 Lebanon Pike, Nashville.
