Cheryl E Wachtel, age 83, of Old Hickory, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025. She was born on February 11, 1942 in Louisville, KY to her parents James and Thelma Marie Muessle Wachtel who precede her in death.
Cheryl was a teacher for most of her life. She touched many student's lives through out her 20 + years of teaching at Holy Rosary Academy, St Bernard Academy (When it was a High School) and Christ the King school. She also worked for many years at the Tennessee Register, the Diocese of Nashville and CYO. She was a wonderful woman who will be dearly missed by her loving family, friends and all that had the opportunity to know her.
She is survived by her brother James (Lydia) Wachtel, sisters Mary Lynne Wachtel Cunningham and Joy (Charles) Arnold Sr. She is also survived by her 5 nephews, Tony Cunningham, J W (Nacole) Cunningham, Charlie Arnold Jr, Jason Klokow and Adam Klokow, 4 nieces Jennifer (Rocco) Iocco, Joanna (Brad) Fowler, Jessi (Stefan) Antoine, Dawn (Ben) Boles, 5 great-nephews and 7 great-nieces.
Services will be held on July 1, 2025 at Church of the Holy Rosary 192 Graylynn Drive, Nashville, TN 37214 at 11 am. The family will receive friends from 10 am until mass time at 11 am. Burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Nashville, TN
