John Thomas Saracen

John "Jack" Thomas Saracen, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, at home surrounded by family. Born and raised in Roselle, Jack married his wife Carol in 1978 and moved to Matawan in 1983. He was in the construction industry for over 40 years and retired from Tishman Construction as a Superintendent in 2012. He enjoyed time at the shore, traveling, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his great-niece and nephew.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Saracen. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Saracen; his niece Andrea Hidalgo & her husband Anthony and their children, Isabella and Jack; his sister Barbara Spiegel & her husband, Joseph; his brother Frank Saracen & his wife Diane and his brother-in-law Ernest Pedicano & his wife, Lynn.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 US Hwy. 9, Old Bridge, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Thursday, February 14 at 10:00am at Most Holy Redeemer Church RC Church, 133 Amboy Road, Matawan. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro.
