Christine C. Piassek

Christine C. Piassek, 75, passed away Sat., Nov. 9, 2013 at home. Born in Newark, Christine moved to Old Bridge over 50 years ago. She was a cashier for Pathmark in East Brunswick for 31 years retiring in 2002. She was a member of WFCW Local 1262, and loved baking, cooking, crocheting, sewing, knitting, & reading. Christine was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Piassek; her son, Edward J. Piassek Jr.; her brother, Eugene Duerr; and her sister, Margaret Christian. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jeffrey & Laura Piassek; her daughter and son in law, Deborah & James Gerhsitz; her daughter, Cynthia Piassek; her daughter, Holly Piassek; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and her brother, Andrew Duerr. Visitation will be held on Tue., Nov. 12, from 6-9pm at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, 3377 Rt. 9, Old Bridge, and on Wed., Nov. 13 from 9-10am at the funeral home, with funeral services at 10am.
