“Kathleen Diane Johnson, Overland Park, KS (almost a Leawood lady).
Kathy was from Minneapolis, MN. She is the daughter of Eric and Muriel Holland and siblings of Jeff Holland, Janice Hill, Linda Huber, and Susan Herring. She attended Mankato State University and earned a Mrs. degree from there and eventually an Associate of Arts degree from Johnson County Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/sociology from SUNY, Albany NY.
Kathy was married to her beloved first husband Roger Hellwinckel, until his death in 1993, and leaves two children, Chad, Ph. D. of Knoxville, TN (Marilyn) and Carson of Olathe, KS (Kristen), also three grandchildren, Wm (Blue) of Knoxville and Connor and Caden of Olathe.
Kathy met her present husband Ron on a bike ride, were married in 1995 and had a whirlwind of love and crazy travel times. It has been a good life.
Kathy also leaves her beloved dog Annie.
True to a true Norwegian Kathy did not like any attention, or incriminating evidence (her words) drawn to herself so, this is all that is going to be said, except she thanks everyone who has been a part of her life, knowing she has learned something valuable from everyone.
The End. Have a nice day, thank God for each one. Kathy”
There will be a private Graveside service on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Land Institute or Harvesters.
