Donna Rae Helmig Senay

Donna Rae Senay, 81, of Olathe, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 15, 2016. She will forever be remembered as a loving mother, mema, sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.

Donna was born on August 11, 1934 in Lone Jack, Missouri to Ray and Opal Lea (Shelton) Helmig. She attended and graduated from Lone Jack High School May 15th 1952. Donna married, Peter Senay on July 9, 1955 Together they raised their two boys Doug and Joe. Donna has lived in the city of Olathe since 1963. She worked most recently as an assembler for SOR Manufacturing of Lenexa Kansas. After she retired, she volunteered her time at Olathe Medical Center. Donna enjoyed gardening, especially her roses. She also enjoyed the time she spent with her granddaughter Rachel. Together they made special memories.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Opal Helmig and husband Peter who passed away in 2001. Donna is survived by her two sons, Doug and his wife Dianne of Overland Park, Kansas, Joe and his wife Julie of Grain Valley, Missouri and her granddaughter, Rachel. Donna is also survived by her brother Russell Helmig of Lone Jack, Missouri and sister, Beverly Pine of Raytown, Missouri. She will be sadly missed by several nephews, nieces and many close friends.

A Family visitation has been scheduled for 10:00 am with Memorial Service at 11:00 followed by a catered lunch Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Lone Jack Christian Church 200 W. Lone Jack Lee’s Summit Road Lone Jack, Missouri 64070.

Prior to the services a private family inurnment will take place at 9:00a.m Saturday morning, May 28th at Lone Jack Cemetery Lone Jack, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Lone Jack Christian Church or Colonial Presbyterian Church of Overland Park, Kansas.
