Betty Locke

Betty May Locke, 85, of Gardner, KS., passed away February 15. 2012. Betty will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Visitation will be from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2012 at McGilley & Frye Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Burial 9:00 a.m. Monday morning February 20, 2012 in Fort Leavenworth Cemetery Leavenworth, KS. Betty was born on December 25, 1926 in Bentley, IA., to Harry William and Edna Mae (Simmons) Killion. She attended the United Methodist Church in Edgerton, KS. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her family, traveling and cross word puzzles. She was a resident in Edgerton, KS. for over 42 years and most recently lived in Gardner for the last 13 years.

Mrs. Locke was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 54 years, Thomas Grover Locke, Jr; daughter, Bonita Sue; sister, Mary Walters; son, Kevin Wayne Locke, brothers, Harry Killion, Jr. and Donald Killion. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Donna) Locke III, Jerry Locke, Robert Locke, David (Robin) Locke, Rebecca (Robert Jr.) Wise and Brenda Bowers; sister, Rose Fargo and Don Bowers, Jr.; 24 grandchildren and 40 great- grandchildren.
