Angie was born August 1,1926 in Emporia, Kansas.Through the course of her life, Angie was employed as a typist then as a Correspondent at BMA for 34 years. In 1966, Angie did illustrations for a book titled “How Babies Are Born” by Bruce E Hodges M.D. She was a talented artist which many family members proudly displayed her artwork in their homes.
After her retirement she was involved in the Eucharistic Ministry for 6 ½ years, drew a myriad of drawings for holy days for Christ the King Catholic Church, served as a gift bearer and assisted with funeral luncheons. She also served as an Ambassador at St. Joseph Medical Center and loved to bake pastries of all kinds.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Gregoria (Hernandez) Delatorre, two brothers Clete (Barbara) Delatorre and Valentino (Kay) Delatorre, three sisters, Louise Delatorre, Frances Delatorre, Alice (Anthony) Flores and brother-in-law Leon Chavez. Left to cherish her memory is her sister Elizabeth Chavez of Topeka, Kansas and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Angie had a love of service to people, was a devout catholic and loved the family and friends she met along her way. With sorrowful hearts we wish her eternal peace with her family that she deeply missed.
