Wanetta was born in Gracemont, OK on March 6, 1939, and grew up in Anadarko, OK. She was one of four children to Ellis Vaughn (Bill) and Bertha (Hamilton) Keeler. She met the love of her life Delmar (Gene) Westover, at the diner where she and her mom worked. Gene convinced Wanetta to marry him on December 22, 1957. She was preceded in death by her older brother William (Billie), her parents, her in-laws Claude and Geneva (Peck) Westover, her husband Gene, and her son James Brian Westover. Grum’s life and love was her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her 2 sisters (Roberta Feeney and Josie Reynolds), her remaining 5 children, Michael and his wife Jennifer, David and wife Susan (Jan), Sheri, Thomas and his wife Angela, Gina Francis and her husband Jim; 9 grandsons and 3 granddaughters; 5 great grandsons and 3 great granddaughters. Grum’s legacy is the enduring love and lessons she provided to her children and the generosity she showed as she welcomed others into her family. She was the glue that kept her home a warm and welcoming place for the many moves that Gene’s career required. From moving her life and possessions from Anadarko, OK to Ankara, Turkey at age 19; to multiple locations in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and Texas throughout their 58-year life together, she made their home a warm and inviting place for her children and all their friends. As a result, several of those friends over the years were welcomed to the family and loved her as their own mother. Services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
