V. Helen Carpenter passed away Jan. 11, 2015 in OKC, OK. She was born March 1, 1924 in Butler, OK to Clarice and Alta (Scott) Miller. Helen graduated from Putnam City High School in 1942 and on January 13, 1946 she married the love of her life, John Carpenter. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone until she retired. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Chris Carpenter. She is survived by her husband, John Carpenter; children, Mike, Mark and Gary Carpenter; grandchildren, Amy, Michelle and Corey; Four great grandchildren; brother, Marion Miller; sister, Betty Cason; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services for Helen will be 2:00 pm Friday, Jan 16, 2015 at Council Road Baptist Church with interment following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
