Sonny James Taylor, 61 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away at Alliance Health Midwest on October 26, 2018. Born November 27, 1956 in Seminole, Oklahoma, he was the son of Henry Adam Taylor and Anna Lee (Meek) Taylor. Sonny was a bricklayer working in commercial construction. He loved fishing, camping, music (Blues, Country, and Oldies), but most of all he loved any activity that involved being with Family. Survivors include his wife Kathy Taylor of Newalla, OK; 4 sons, Michael and his wife, Celena Alexander of OKC, OK; Sonny James Taylor, Jr. of Holdenville, OK: Jason K. Taylor of Davis, OK; and Chad Star Taylor of OKC, OK; 2 daughters, Diana Lee Alexander of Newalla, OK; and Amy Leann Taylor of OKC, OK; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 brother, Henry Wayne Taylor of OKC, OK: 2 sisters, Marilyn Sue and her husband Michael Hill of OKC, OK; and Sandra and her husband Dennis Johnson of Choctaw, OK; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Rock Springs Indian Baptist Church, 91156 Hwy. 56 East, Sasakwa, OK, with Reverend Jimsey Harjo officiating. Burial will follow at the Rock Springs Indian Baptist Church Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma.
