Sherry passed away from this life gracefully at the age of 70. She was met at the garden gates of heaven by her heavenly Father, her parents Jesse and Betty, her grandparents, her brother Kenneth and his wife Mary Ann, along with her mother-in-law and father-in-law’s. She left behind the people she loved most, the love of her life, husband of 35 years, True, her daughters, Jennifer and Kristine, her son, Derek, and the two step sons she raised and considered her own, Tony and Terry, their spouses, Mike, David, Jenny and Missy along with her beautiful grandchildren. She adored her three brothers, Kenneth, Ronnie, and Rick, as well as, numerous other loved ones, her brother-in-law’s and sister in law’s, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sherry graduated in 1965 from Northwest Classen and retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas. She loved spending her time with her family and friends, sewing, bowling, playing canasta, shopping and going out to eat. She recently celebrated her 70th birthday with all her friends and family. Then her husband along with two other couples took her on her dream vacation.
Sherry embraced the last two years of her life with beauty, grace and dignity. She lived every day with strength, gratitude and faith. She fought a hard fight but in the end God called her home.
Our family wishes to thank all the people who came to her 70th birthday party. She was overwhelmed by the amount of people who came that day to make her feel so loved and special. We would also like to thank all the Dr.’s and Nurses who encouraged her and tried everything they could to save her life. We will forever be grateful to everyone who prayed for her, loved her, encouraged her and helped give her strength.
