Ronald Allen Walker

He was born at St. Anthony Hospital September 26, 1961 to Charles and Ann Turner. Charles moved to the city from Duncan, Oklahoma and put himself through school to become an accountant. Ann was from Ringling, Oklahoma and worked primarily as a secretary at French Market Mall. Curtis’s parents met here in Oklahoma City and were shortly married. They bought a home in Bethany, Oklahoma where they raised their two children Curtis and Gayla (Fornter).

As children, Curtis and Gayla loved playing a game called “manhunt” which is a form of hide-and-seek. They also enjoyed playing in the woods behind their family home. Most of their summers were spent riding bikes with their father and swimming at Ripper Park.

When Curtis became an adolescent, he met his first love Pamela. They began their relationship in 1976. Curtis ended up leaving Putnam City West to pursue a welding career. He obtained his welding trade from Sooner Welding. Not long later Curtis and Pamela were married, and they ended up having two children, Wesley and Sarah. Even though their marriage did not last they remained close friends until the day of his passing.

Curtis was an amazing welder. He worked for many years on oil rig tanks. Later in life, he also began doing metal art and other types of craftsmanship, such as staircases and gates. Besides welding, he enjoyed drawing and loved riding his motorcycle. Probably his most favorite pastime would be to spend time with his loving grandchildren, Johnathan and Caroline.

Most of his adult life he was an active member of The Vineyard Church, but he spent his last few years attending The Bridge in Mustang, Oklahoma.

Curtis’s death was a tragic accident but at least he went doing something he loved.

Curtis is survived by his father Charles; sister, Gayla and her family; son, Wesley; daughter, Sarah; and his two grandchildren Johnathan and Caroline.

His mother, Anna Mae Turner, preceded him in his death.
