Ora Mae White, 98, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 7, 2018. She was born in Stratford, OK, to Robert E. Lee Freeman and Florie Smith Freeman on April 24, 1919. Ora went on to go to further her education at the Shawnee Business School where she attained her Associate’s Degree. After college, she was a full-time mother before she started work at the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Among her many hobbies, basketball (3 on 3) was her all-time favorite, but what she took pride in was making babies. Ora married Truman Earl White and they were married for 21 years. One of her greatest achievements was leading all her beautiful children to Christ. She was a loving mother, grand-mother, great grand-mother, and great great grand-mother, who loved spending time with her family and worshipping Christ for 71 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Florie Freeman; husband, Truman White; son, Curtis Lee Freeman; and 5 brothers and sisters, William Freeman, Troy Freeman, Lee Roy Freeman, R.L. Freeman, and Nadine Freeman.
Ora is survived by daughter, Margaret and husband Charles of Joshua, TX; daughters, Norene, Sharon of Oklahoma City, daughter, Suzy of Edmond; son, Stanley and wife Laura of Edmond; son, Steve and wife Nan of Oklahoma City; daughter Deborah and husband Jerry of Moore; sister, Virginia Stone of Ada; 14 grand-children, 20 great grand-children and 3 great great grand-children.
Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162. The funeral service will be on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at River of Life Church, 6901 NW 150th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73142 with interment at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
