Words will never be able to express my sympathy for each of you. My foundest memories of Marla are surrounded by teenage girlfriends and the softball field. There isn't a game I remember her not being there. I ran into her a few months ago and she was still talking about the ball fields.  This time it was for her grand kids. She showed so much joy in talking about the grand kids. Her heart was genuine and love for others great! I am praying for each of you today. Hugs and Love!

I am so sorry for your loss I am going to miss Marla also ,we have known each other since grade school and our moms were friends .Marla came to my office every year and we would do the taxes and talk longer than her appointment time ,but when she left there was no doubt she loved her family .I will truly miss her she was a treasure May God Bless each and everyone of you.

I remember when we were young, me and my sister and brother were always to young to play with any of our cousins.  We went to visit Betty and Mike in Florida I guess it was about 40 years ago.  David and Marla were there at the time.  Marla was so kind she would take us to the pool with her every day we were there.  She would lay out in the sun and we would play.  That is one of the only times I felt included because even though we were a lot younger then her she just took us with her and was so kind. Jack Spencer's daughter Ramona Crockett

I first meet Marla when she and David started dating in High School, David had an old Chevy Chevelle and you could never tell if their was one or two people in the car she was always nestled  up close to David and their was never any doubt that they were a couple. I lost touch with them for many years and after we reconnected it didn't take long to know that Family was always first and their were no shortage of love among them. You were truly a beautiful person Marla and Thank you for blessing my friend with your love.

As another former classmate of Marla's, I've known her so many years.  Was so sorry to hear of her passing.  Prayers are lifted up for family and friends.

Marla was one of the strongest women I have ever known. When I would check on her she would always say she was feeling good when deep down I knew she really wasn't ,but would always ask you how you were! We were always talking about how much we loved our family and how precious our grand babies were! Family meant everything to her! I can still remember when her and David first got together! She never quit smiling for sure after that! And for sure after her children were born! She will never be forgotten and we will all see her again someday and see that beautiful smile! Marla and I were 3 months apart in age and lived on the same street when we were really little.  I think we trick or treated together for the first time.  We grew up and graduated from highschool and our lives went their separate ways.  Now I see she has gone on to be with the Lord and I can only imagine after seeing all of the wonderful pictures how much she will be missed by her dear family.  Her smile and laugh was always there to encourage.  May your beautiful mom rest in peace and may your memories grow richer by the day.  So very sorry for your loss.....

I, too, am brokenhearted over the loss of our sweet friend, Marla.   I was so pleased to be able to reconnect with her recently via social media.  She was a very good friend in high school.  We attended church together too and shared many fun times.  Marla always placed great value on family and friendships as is evidenced by the photos you share.  Her infectious laughter and bright smile will be missed by many.  May God grant grace and peace to each of you as you cherish your memories of this precious one.

I first met Marla through a mutual friend years ago. A bunch of us housewives decided we wanted to play softball. We were quite a crew! All we wanted to do was have fun and maybe get a little exercise. Our team was called the "Loose Ends" because we were such a mixed up crew! We had a blast playing softball that year! Lost almost every game! Some teams got crabby with us because we didn't take the game seriously. Marla was our left fielder-I can still see her running, glove aimed towards the heavens, hollering, "I got it! I got it! I got it!"
Years later, we all had careers. Marla and I worked for Harrah Schools. My classroom was the building next to Central Office where Marla's office was. She took very good care of my special needs students and loved to see them when we'd all visit-she made sure they each left with a yummy piece of candy and loved hearing "Thank you" from each one! She and I would share kid stories; then grandkid stories. Years after playing on that softball field together, we'd sit in the bleachers and watch our grandsons play baseball together! 
David, Mandy, Clint, Jennifer and families: she loved you all very, very much and will be watching proudly from Heaven.

We are lifting your family up in prayer and asking God to provide peace and comfort for you all!  Marla K was an amazing woman and will be missed by so many.

My heart is breaking over this loss. Although I have not seen or visited with Marla in many years, I have some really vivid memories of her from high school. The first one that comes to my mind is the year we all participated in the walk-a-thon around Lake Hefner. We were sophomores and it was a 20 mile walk, which took way longer than anyone anticipated. I made it back to the bus before Marla, but not by much. I can still see her walking up to the bus leaning on a large walking stick, looking like Moses coming out of the wilderness! The next thing I remember is the 4th of July that she snookered me into working at a firecracker stand. I have told my family and friends many times that that day was the hardest work I ever did in my life. I stand by that belief to this day. Finally, I remember Marla on her wedding day. I was privileged to be her maid of honor and the memory of her smiling face as she walked down in the aisle is one that comes back to me at every wedding I attend. She made my mom cry because she looked so radiantly happy. My heart goes out to her family in this time of devastating loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
