Marjorie Odessa (Scruggs) Reynolds, 99, left this earth to return Home on Thursday, September 17, 2020, in Oklahoma City, OK. Marjorie was born in Thrall, TX to parents Samuel and Pearl Scruggs on December 6, 1920.
In 1939, Marjorie met the love of her life, Albert Reynolds. Together they spent sixty-three beautiful years married. Then in 1944, they started their family with the birth of their son, Sam and then with Steve.
Many describe Marjorie as an independent and strong-willed person. To speak to that independence, she lived on her own until about June of this year. Marjorie was the inquisitor of the family and she always loved to converse and laugh. She also loved reading and could turn just about anything into an antique.
Toward the end, Marjorie was ready to be with her husband. In the past few weeks, when her health began to decline, Steve and Sam knew it was time. Marjorie was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was extremely devoted to her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Franklin Reynolds; father, Samuel Jackson Scruggs; mother, Iva Pearl (Foster) Scruggs; sister, Laverne Erwin and husband, Charles; one grandchild and one nephew.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Samuel Franklin Reynolds and wife, Betty of Bethany, OK and Steven Jess Reynolds and wife, Carol Ann of Oklahoma City, OK. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two nieces, and two nephews to cherish her memory.
