Linda grew up in Dallas on W. Lake Highlands Dr. in a modest home which overlooked White Rock Lake and she attended Bishop Dunne Catholic School. Lee & Lucille were loving parents who raised Linda and her siblings in the Catholic Faith and instilled the value of hard work. Each summer her parents would take the entire family to Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, Arkansas where Linda would work selflessly to make sure everyone had a wonderful vacation with a lifetime of memories. She was a loving Mother, Wife, Nana, Sister, Daughter, and Friend who had a true servant’s heart and found her greatest joy in helping others. She loved her family and friends fiercely and considered those close relationships her greatest accomplishments. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with those she loved! Linda married Samuel Navarro on October 5, 2001. They spent many happy years together entertaining and connecting with friends from their neighborhood and church and they especially loved hosting or traveling to visit extended family. Sam is deeply mourning the loss of his loving wife and best friend.
In her younger days, Linda was known for her boundless energy. And as a young, single mother, she sometimes worked up to 3 jobs to provide for Michelle and Michael. Later, she became a Sales Assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald in Dallas where she worked for over 20 years. During the 9/11 attacks on our country, Cantor Fitzgerald lost more employees than any other company and she was able to play a role in helping to connect those who were trapped in the north tower of the WTC to their families. Linda’s favorite past-time was interior decorating, and she was quite talented. In fact, she and her sister, Francis, began a business decorating home for the holidays. Entertaining was another of Linda’s many gifts and she was truly a gracious hostess who loved to share her home with others.
In her more recent years, Linda’s journey with Parkinson’s, Diabetes and several back surgeries was extremely challenging and presented many obstacles, but she didn’t complain. She remained truly selfless and focused on her family first and foremost. The many prayers for Linda and the continued prayers for our family are greatly appreciated. Linda will be greatly missed, abundantly loved, and forever remembered in our hearts!
