He was born on December 4, 1937, in Goldsby, Oklahoma, to Lester Burch Talley and Effie Talley (Martin).
Lester graduated from Lexington High School and in 1963 moved to Del City. He worked for Macklanburg-Duncan for 38 years. He was married for 65 years to Kay Scott, who passed away June 7, 2022.
His favorite music was country and bluegrass and his favorite color was “Dodger” blue. His perfect day would be spent watching a ball game, as he loved sports.
He loved his grandkids and how they could always make him laugh. One thing he certainly taught his family was the value of a dollar.
Lester was survived by his children, Terri Mackey and husband Michael of Moore, and Tracy Talley of Oklahoma City; brothers, Lynndell Talley of Oklahoma City, Bob Talley of Midwest City, and Vic Talley of Edmond; sister, Reta Faye Spann of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren, Blake, Kendra, Sierra, and Haleigh; and six great-grandchildren, Blaze, River, Aspen and Paisley of Moore, and Knox and Ryker of Yukon.
“Junior” will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.eisenhourfuneralhome.com for the Talley family.
