Lela Lokeel Adair, 92, passed away on July 22, 2017. Lela was born in Sallisaw, OK on September 29, 1924 to Mack W. and Mandy Lee (Boyd) Spencer. Lela was an independent and energetic person who enjoyed staying busy. She was very artistic and it showed in her quilting, sewing, and gardening. She was a collector of stuffed animals and dolls. Lela had a very good memory. Some may say that she kept her memory sharp by playing Word Find puzzles. She was a great cook and baker. Her famous pecan pies were exceptional! Lela was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy M. Adair; brother, Truman Spencer; and sister, Patsy Pruitt. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Fields; step-son, Dwayne Peterson and wife Pam; grandchildren, Cherie Finnie and husband, Norman; Brian Fields and wife, Trish; great-grandchildren, Azure Fields, Wesley Finnie, Tyler Finnie, Madelynn Finnie, Elijah Finnie, and Adam Fields; sisters, Vivian Dykes, Lillian Townsend, and Linda Cantrell; brothers, Clary Spencer, Roy Leonard Spencer, and Junior Spencer; and many other friends and family who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Dickson Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
