I just received my birthday gift that Kyle had bought me before he passed. He gave me the Marvel Cinematic Movie collection. It is such a perfect thoughtful gift. I would always call him and ask about Marvel things. He also took me to a Nickelback concert many years ago. It was very expensive for him ($100 for good seats)  to take me. He would bring it up and ask when I was going to take him to a Nickelback concert and then smile as he knew the prices had skyrocketed (for the good seats). He even took me to Van Halen. Thanks son. I can remember the last time I saw Kyle it was at a family gathering at his moms house. I really did not want to I feel very uncomfortable at family gatherings. However I ask Rena if Kyle was going to be there and she said yes. Truthfully that was the only reason I went was to see Kyle. I love his laugh his smile and his hugs and I loved giving him a hard time when he would call me lunckle Eric, I would correct him and it’s uncle Kyle. He would roll his eyes. I was very fortunate to see him one last time. I will truly miss him. God has sweet kind angel.

During the time we were preparing for Kyle and Kaylas’s wedding. I had picked out the mother and son dance song  “Somewhere over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole”.  I played it for Kyle and Kayla and became emotional because the song is beautiful and because of the significance of the special moment we were going to soon be sharing. The day of their wedding Kayla and her Dad had  their dance and there were lots of tears and emotion as would be expected. By the time Kyle and I had our Dance I had listened to the song over and over to desensitize me a little where I would not be a blubbering mess during our dance.  Kyle was complaining, in a good way that no one was crying for him.  Well my sweet boy there have been buckets of tears cried for you.  I love you and will never forget the wonderful son that I lost way too soon. Mom

I have been wanting to write something for my sweet husband since he passed but it has been too difficult to find the words. We lay him to rest today and with the finality of that gesture, I wanted to make sure I wrote something here for him. Kyle and I met in March of 2014 and from day 1 he knew that I was his soulmate. ( I took a little convincing but that’s a story for another day. LOL) we started our love story that year and every single day was better than the last. I had never known such a pure and beautiful love as this one. Kyle made me his wife in August 2016 and it was the best day of my life. He spent every day trying to make me happy. And he always succeeded. We had the normal marital tiffs but I always knew how much he loved me and how much I loved him. In our short 3 1/2 years together, we experienced so many things in this life. We went on many cruises, Vegas trips, concerts. Etc. You name it, we did it. That was just my baby... so full of life and adventure. As long as we were together, we were both happy. We spent so much time together. We worked together, took breaks together, had lunch together, and then home for the evening. In my eyes baby you gave me the perfect life. I will miss a billion things about My Love. I will miss his sense of humor. (No one makes me laugh like he does) I will his smile, laugh, and kind heart. I will miss his hugs and kisses and just everything he did for me daily. I don’t honestly know how I’m going to be able to live without you baby but I know how much you loved me. And I know how much you would want me to live and eventually smile again. I love you honey. You were the love of my life, my soulmate, my best friend, my everything. That will never change. I know you’re my angel now and as difficult as the rest of my life will be without you, I know you’re still with me. Until I see you again baby. I love you forever and always! Love, your wife

Kyle will truly be missed! He was such a likeable and compassionate guy.  He always helped me out at work when I had questions and I didn't understand something. Kyle was definitely a team player. I am so blessed to know Kyle and I am so sorry for your loss.

I always knew I would run into you and Kayla every day. It was a joy to see just how happy the two of you were together. Your ability to make someone smile seemed effortless and your positive outlook was always a treat.  Definitely going to miss you. Rest easy big guy.

Kyle,

Since starting our careers together at AAA with your then fiancé Kayla (seems like a decade ago), you have always been so positive and up-lifting. We instantly became friends and you blessed me with looking at the positives in life and not take things too seriously when I was stressed about anything. I’m going to miss the quick witted jokes you always came up with and the always welcoming signature Kyle smile. The work outs were always funny too lol. The fantasy football trophy you made for me will always be on display and I will always be reminded of how blessed I am of having you as my friend. Love you bro. 

My heart aches for your loss of Kyle.  It is still shocking to me.  

Mike and Rena - may you hold onto the fun memories that y'all created!  So many late nights playing cards to going to his house and helping him out!  I remember Kyle as being laid back and being funny!  Y'all loved your boy and were so proud of who he had become. I love you guys, and I am here for you!

Kayla - I'm sorry that you lost your best friend and husband!  Mike and Rena are so thankful for you and proud that you are Kyle's wife!  They loved how you took care of him!

Letter to my dear nephew who just passed away.  Dear Kyle I thought about you often, unfortunately did not reach out to you and I’ve always thought there was plenty ofttimes. I remember holding you when you when you were barely two weeks old.  I was always afraid I would break you.  You were so small and fragile and your eyes looking up  at me with such wonder. I often thought looking  at you laying in my arms looking up at me I wondered what kind of future you would have  and what kind of  man you would be.  You ended up growing be a giant a good son to your mother and father. He also became an awesome husband to a lovely wife. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would outlive you.  It feels like the most unnatural thing. But in your short 33 years on this earth you are affected so many people in a positive way and commanded so much loyalty not that you asked for it just by being you. This world is a darker place without you. I will never be the same again until we are reunited in the next life.  Thank you so much for being my nephew and always being respectful and kind to me.  You are one of the people who had so much love to give and I was a better person to know you.  My heart is forever broken and can never be put back together again because you have taken a part of it with you. I will always love you my sweet beautiful inside and out nephew love always until the next time I see you, Aunt Makayla.  Rest now your fight is over.

Kyle has left me with so many gifts—-

-watching him grow from a  small child into the fine young man that he became.
-having lunch with him in elementary school on a parent /child day.
-The joy of sharing his accomplishments with him.
-playing  challenging games of rummy with me.(he won a lot of those games).
-inviting me to attend and to have a share in fixing decorations for his wedding to his beautiful wife Kayla.

I miss and love my grandson, our gentle giant. I’m thankful to Kyle for allowing me to have a share in his life.

For me Kyle was a loving grandson.  I remember going to Mustang High School football game.  I was proud to see him playing in the band.  He looks so handsome at his wedding and I was glad he got to marry such a sweet lady as Kayla.  I was so happy for them.  They were a beautiful couple.  He was a giant of a man in so many ways. My earliest memory of you was holding you within an hour of you being born.  You were such an adorable baby.  I enjoyed our times we were able to visit. After this happened several times Kyle got wise to it. And he would refuse to come sit in my lap. He would tell me no an take off when I tried to hold him. I've tried and tried to think of something to say the past few days that sums up what you have meant to me. I come up short everytime. I've spent 14 years with you. I met you at the same time I met Corey. We've had our fair share of moments but don't all brothers and sisters? Because that's who you were to me.  A brother. No matter what was going on in our lives we all picked up like no time had ever been lost. I think my most favorite times with you were obviously all of the party nights at our apartment at Legacy and our competitive beer pong games but also you and corey teaching me how to play poker and fantasy football. You never treated me like the "girl". I was always one of the boys and You always were there to help me learn. Even though I'd use my knowledge later on to defeat you at both FF and Poker haha.  Even just trying to get a rise out of you with sports facts.. even though everything I learned was from you! Or trying to draft Aaron Rodgers before you could every year LOL. Your loss hurts tremendously. I don't think our lives will ever be the same. The one promise I will make is that I promise to raise Miles knowing who his uncle Kimbro was and how much you loved him and prayed for him. And if he is choosing between colleges one day, I promise to make him look into OSU.. maybe 😂 The last and most important thank you I have is for always loving Corey. You were his person. Maybe even his lobster.  I will always be so grateful corey had you as his best friend and that I got to be a part of your life because of that.

Dear Rena, Mike and Kayla,
I have fond memories of seeing Kyle and meeting you, Kayla at Uncle Brendan and Aunt Kyong ‘s 2016 reunion. You were such a happy couple that day looking forward to marrying. I am saddened to hear about Kyle’s passing and send my love to each of you. Love Cousin Gina 

My world came to a crashing and drastic halt last Monday. My throat has been constantly choked up, tears fill my eyes just trying to Put in words the pain and loss I feel. I know time does heal all sorrows and memories are what we can carry with us forward. One of the funnier story and probably the most pissed I ever got at Kyle was when I was visiting my aunt Cathy. To put this in context, I’m notorious for my cavalier sense of humor. I like joking and unfortunately to those few I make fun at their expense. Cathy had a speech impediment that I thought was funny. I would making fun of it( when she wasn’t around because half the time you couldn’t understand what she was saying) everybody thought it was funny. However I never did it in front of her. Well at the time I was living out of state and wanted spend time with Kyle, so we went together to see my aunt Cathy. Unfortunately Kyle took it upon himself to imitate me making fun of Cathy in front of Cathy. My eyes bugged out as Kyle was muttering gibberish. My aunt Cathy lean over and politely whispered is he ok. In my head I was saying not for long. However I replied yeah head had two sodas before we got here he’s just hyper. When we left I looked at Kyle and Kyle was looking at me with a smile on his face and all I could say is that was a good one Kyle. I miss you so much Kyle. Thanks Kayla for making him so happy  

How do I pick one single memory? I can’t. What I can do is say thank you. You blessed so many people by just being you! You will be so missed. Heaven gained such an amazing angel. Until we see you again. 

When Kyle was in the 2nd Grade at Mustang Elementary he was always getting in trouble in class because he was talking in class. His teacher was always sending home notes for us to sign. Mike and I were always getting onto Kyle about this. We got Kyles report card and tucked inside was a note that the teacher had sent home. Kyle had signed Rena in 2nd grade block letters. The teacher had written a note with an arrow to the Rena that said "I don't think you saw this note either." Between Mike and I we were laughing about it, then I had to be Mom for Kyle's benefit. I know that he didn't want to get in trouble but he never wanted us to be disappointed in him. I never was, I was always proud of him. 

Mike had been outside mowing the lawn. Afterwards Mike, Kyle and I were outside when Kyle who was around 6 years old asked " who's stomach did I come out of?" I asked " who's stomach do you think you came out of?" Kyle looked at me and then looked at Mike and said " Dads? Kyle was a really sweet and inquisitive little boy. He was always trying to figure out things. Most of the time it wasn't quite right but he provided his dad and I with many smiles and laughs throughout the years.  Kyle was always on our side and loved us as we also loved him. He would not want us to go on with our lives forever sad. His legacy is not going to be one of destroyed sad lives but lives with thousands of rich and happy memories of a life well lived. There are many tough times ahead and it will take time to get there but that is what I want for all the people who love Kyle and I know Kyle would want that as well. 

Kayla, Rena and Mike:  Words escape me to describe the shock and sadness I feel over the loss of Kyle.  My husband and I have known the Kimbros for many, many years as their next door neighbors and we saw Kyle grow up from a young kid to a fine man. Kyle was always so nice and kind. 
1 of my fondest memories I have is the day he and Kayla were married and how I got to be a part of that celebration with them as they started their lives together. Kyle will be missed very much by all those who knew him!!!
Although we do not always understand why these things happen, especially to someone so young. I know that the love Kyle showed everyone and the memories he created with his family and friends will live on in our hearts and thoughts.

I started college when Kyle was 7 years old. Rena was working evenings and Kyle had to go with me to my classes and my studies. The computer lab at college had signs all over the place that said "No Children Allowed". After a few weeks of seeing Kyle sit quietly on the bench outside, the staff asked if it would be ok to sneak Kyle in the back door of the computer lab where he would be more comfortable and play games. They had to hide him in the corner so that other parents would not see him and ask permission. He was that good of a kid. There was one time during my Calculus III finals that Kyle was with me and it was late at night. No one was around in the hallways. During the test the class could hear a wolf howl coming from the hallway. My son was really bored. I was the last one to leave. When I opened the door, Kyle was laying asleep in front of the threshold. Everyone who left the class had to step over him. I will always miss seeing that little boy.

Kyle, you will always remain in our hearts. Our memories of you are from our family reunions. Rena and Mike would come in the house followed by you – tall, lanky and ready with a warm hug! We remember the 2016 reunion when you brought Kayla to introduce her to the family – you were so proud and happy.  The two of you just radiated love for each other!  We are so glad that you were a part of our big family for 32 years. We love and miss you!

Kyle you don’t need your keys now.
	I first meet the Kimbro’s 25-26 years ago when we moved in next door to them about a month after they moved into their house. Right after Mike and I became good friends. We have spent a lot of quality time together and I have the privilege of knowing Kyle from about 6 years Old. He was always a great kid, someone I never minded hanging around. If Mike and I were going somewhere and Mike asked if Kyle could come I would always say sure. Mike was a great father and was proud of Kyle and wanted him to grow into the man that he did even without my help. Now let me explain. Mike wanted to teach Kyle responsibility and part of that was having a key to the house to let himself in after school. And inevitably Kyle would forget his key and ask me to let him in knowing that I had a key as well. So day in and day out I would come home after work ( I got off at 3) and find Kyle sitting on my front porch and I would let him in. this went on and on until Mike found Kyle’s keys in the house and decided to keep the keys and have Kyle ask for them. I imagine Mike’s surprise when he came home the next day and found Kyle in the house (Mike) “boy how did you get in” (Kyle) “Steve let me in” at least he was resourceful. The next thing I know is that I am getting a phone call from Mike ( letting me have it ) about not letting Kyle in the house “I am trying to teach him responsibility”. As you would have it, the next day this kid was on my front porch looking up at me and I would let him in the house. I still remember that look that he had and I just couldn’t have him wait for Mike to come home. Well Kyle you have the keys to the kingdom and now Mike has to wait. You will be missed but not forgotten. 


Rena,Mike and Mrs Kyle, my heart goes out to each one of you. I know how proud you were of your son Rena. I just want you to know I’m here and I’m praying for you all.

My heart is broken over the loss of Kyle.  He was truly a gentle giant and was very fond of my son, Martell Chambers.  They were room mates for a period of time and became very close.  He was like a second son.

My prayers go out to Kayla and his family.  May the good Lord give you comfort and strength during this time.  God bless you all.

As I sit here with tears rolling down my face thinking about the 32 years I have had the privilege of sharing with the wonderful man you know as Kyle and many know as Kimbro.  As a kid Kyle was sweet and inquisitive. When he was around six we were driving in the car and Kyle pipes up and says” Am I your son, like the sun in the sky? I went onto to explain that he would alway be my son and I would be his mom, Kyle interjected wait, wait I know. When you are old like grandma you’ll be my Mother in law.” He was always saying things like that, he made me laugh. As Kyle grew up and was reaching for his independence there were times that were difficult because I had to let him grow up and figure out how to make it in the world. There were some bumps in the road along the way, but the road became smoother. Everything changed when Kyle met Kayla. He became the man I always knew he could be. His growth over the last 5 years was phenomenal. At work he was always looking for ways to better himself. At home Kyle and Kayla were rock stars. I never saw two people who loved and enjoyed life so much. They traveled, went to concerts, bowled, played board games, went to the movies. Kyle had just bought all his equipment to become scuba certified. They had close friends by their sides  all the time. His dad and I enjoyed a close and loving relationship with Kyle. The last time I got to see Kyle was the May 23rd which was my birthday, what a gift that was. Saturday May 30th we called Kyle to  say hi and see what they were up to that night. Kyle answered. He said they were having friends over for a poker night. I told him I  was sorry that I disturbed his game and I just remember how sweet his response was. He was not rushed to get off the phone.  He was like no problem, I love you. This was the last time I talked to my baby. My baby was right all those years ago he is like the Son in the sky. I look forward to seeing you again one day until then continue to shine brightly.  Love Mom

Kyle was always a stand up guy, big heart, full of life and always a smile on his face. Love you brother. You will be truly missed. It’s never goodbye, just see you later. 

Anyone who knew Kyle in his younger years knew that he was a cute and adorable little boy. He was funny and always the class clown. He was really smart. There was no such thing as the terrible two’s or terrible any age. Then he hit his teen years. He was rebellious and was always trying to find his independence. We had some tough times then. He always wanted to do what he wanted to do and take the shortcuts in life. I told him it was not my job to be your friend, its my job to be your dad. We were always banging heads. But we always stayed in touch. Even after he moved out, Kyle would call me about anything, and I mean anything. I would get off the phone and look at my wife and say, can you believe that. I would have never told my folks all the things I did when I was that young. About 6 years ago, we were talking about something he wanted to do that I disagreed with. He said dad lets not fight about this. He said Dad lets just say that we agree to disagree. It was the peace offering that turned my whole world around. We finally started being friends and buds. I could finally be his best friend and be the supportive Dad I had always craved to be. I could depend on him. He was doing all the right things. He was being responsible. He was doing good at work. He had a wonderful wife that he Loved deeply and was putting her on a pedastool as all husbands should do. He had even got saved and was reading the bible. I was so proud of him. I had always Loved him. But had to be his dad first. Now my life was awesome and complete. Thank You Kyle for the Love you gave me over these past few years. I Loved him and he Loved me. But it was too short. Way too short. I will miss you beyond any words I know how to say. Love Dad.

I only met Kyle once, we were both contemplating going out into the parking lot during a wicked storm. He was funny, nice. Kind eyes. I’m praying for your wife and family this evening. From the messages here you were very loved. Be at peace 🕯 

Kyle was one of the realest people I knew. He wasnt afraid to speak his mind. Kyle was like a little brother to me. Always picking at me. One of my favorite memories of him was at work. One day he and Kayla were going to eat lunch and he made one of his comments. I fired back. As he walked away with his lunch in his hand he smacked me right upside the head with his frozen dinner. That was Kyle though. He loved his friends and even though it was tough love I appreciated him for it. Im not sure whose gonna pick at me now but, I promise I will take care of Kayla. We love you Kyle we will see you again. ❤💙

I first met Kyle Kimbro back in 2011. We both were in a new hire class to work at the Sprint call center here in OKC. During the course of this class, the group played a game where you had to write down facts about yourself that someone might not be able to guess on a post-it and each day the trainer would take one down and read it aloud and see if anyone could figure out who it was. I remember one of Kyle's was about his time playing Gears of War competitively and we later struck up a conversation about gaming, building the foundations of friendship. Though our times at Sprint led us in different directions, we would later reconnect when I worked for CSAA Insurance as a service agent and he reached out to me asking about the environment and nature of the work I did and if I thought he'd be a good fit. I thought he'd be an excellent fit so I was glad to have him put my name down as a referral and get to have him as a coworker again. Over time, I got to watch his career grow and prosper, and had an opportunity to help mentor him on his journey toward bettering his skillset to help brighten his tomorrow. We'd chat about board games, about sports, about life. I was excited to see where he'd go and what he'd do next with the opportunities that lay before him. Kyle, you'll be missed, man.

Kayla, I am praying for you and your family during this time. Kyle was a wonderful employee, but more than that, he was a friend. For some odd reason, we managed to wear the same colors almost daily for a period of time, so we started referring to each other as twin.  It tickled me to run into him at the office and have on the same colored shirt and pants. It became a daily joke between us. I am incredibly proud of who Kyle became. His work ethic was strong, and he was highly revered.  I am wrapping you in love, Kayla.  I pray for your strength as you endure the days ahead.  My deepest condolences, Crystal.

Kyle. You were an amazing man, friend, and sports fan.  I will our weekly football conversations and losing to you in every fantasy league I played you in.  Love ya bro. You watch our 6 from above brother. We got Kayla for you down here. 


I was able to witness first hand how wonderful Kyle was for my sister in law Kayla! He was always willing to spoil her and make sure she knew just how much he loved her! He was just all around fun to be around. He was always willing to help any way he could. My favorite memory was before Kyle asked Kayla be his wife. He knew how much she loved her nephew and asked us to help him ask her to marry him. He was so nervous but we made a shirt for my son to wear so he could be apart of Kyle asking her to marry him! He always made sure to enclude her nephews and family in everything he did! We will miss Kyle! He will be missed by everyone who came to know him. He will live on in our hearts!! Rest In Peace Kyle! We love you!

My heart and prayers go out to kayla and to Kyle's family.  Kyle is going to be missed so much.   Walking around the office and seeing those two, madly in love always put a smile on my face.  My favorite thing I will miss about kyle was his loving nature, beyond sweet, would do anything to help you .  Kyle was definitely a jokester.  I accidentally called him by the wrong name on the phone one day .. and from that day forward his name was Jeff..   I am gonna miss you alot.  

My memory of me and Kyle is when he came over we either talk about football or we played on my ps4 and other memories I have when all of my family when to the Oklahoma zoo and I Kyle left he’s wallet on the bench and we was already at are care and there where about to close lucky it’s wallet was still on the bench . Man I gonna miss you Kyle love you brother 

Being his uncle I have so many wonderful memories of Kyle. I could almost write a book about him. The I’d like to share though is when I took him out to eat at for his graduation. I took him to Toby keiths I love this bar and grill. We talked man to man per say. It was just the two of us, joking and planning for his future. What he was wanting to do and non sense stuff. I love his laugh and smile. Right now it’s still hard for me even to write this with out choking up. He was alway a super sweet kid and that’s the lasting feelings that I will carry on with me

Sweet Kyle, you are going to be so missed. I'm gonna miss those big hugs you give, I remember when we first met I pretty much forced you to hug me haha I told you no sir I'm a hugger not a hand shaker lol ever since then it was always hugs. Ill think of you anytime we wanna go on a cruise and I talk my scared self out of it.  But most of all ill think of you when I see a smile, the sunshine or my sweet kayla. I promise ill be here every step of the way for her. She loves you so so much and you loved her so so much everyone could see it. Going to miss you. Justin said he's gonna miss you you were a great guy, friend and fun to be around. He always would be so excited when we all got to meet up for dinner or bowling or drinks. It Was way to soon but the Lord needed you home 💚😭 WE LOVE YOU
