John S. Redmond

John Sidney Redmond was born June 10, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to John Harris Redmond and Ruth (Leitch) Redmond. John proudly served in the United States Army Reserve in the 1950’s. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and went on to work as a laboratory technician for the Oklahoma County Health Department. John was the Lead Chemist in the Department of Environmental Quality. He enjoyed being outside; hunting and fishing were two of his favorite hobbies. John also served as a pastor in four churches over sixteen years; Lincoln County Parish, Chandler County Parish, Davenport County Parish and Meeker County Parish. He was also a member of Douglas Boulevard United Methodist Church.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Francis; and his baby sister, Ruth Redmond. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Frances Ann Redmond; brother, Phillip Redmond; brother, Thomas Redmond; and his niece.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00A.M., Monday, July 2, 2018 at Wickline United Methodist Church of Midwest City, Oklahoma. Interment will directly follow at Arlington Memory Gardens of Oklahoma City.
