Janet was born April 8, 1925 in Maytown Pennsylvania, to Henry C. Beshler and Elizabeth Floyd Beshler. Janet married John Theodore Barry, was a homemaker and raised two children together. Janet is survived by her son, Don Barry and wife Milisa; daughter Barbara Wallis; grandson, Joshua Shannon Barry; granddaughter Kristina Kelley and husband Brian; great-grandchild, Cheyenne Kelley; great-grandchild, Cherokee Kelley; great-grandchild, Chenoa Kelley; great-grandchild, Checotah Kelley; and great-great grandchild Charlie Rose Mason.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Beshler; husband, John Theodore Barry; her brother, Paul Beshler; brother, Chris Beshler; sister, Ruth Newcomer; sister, Josephine Beshler, and sister, Betty Albright.
Janet was a very active person and enjoyed volunteering. She volunteered over five thousand hours of her time at Midwest City Hospital. She was a founding member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Janet was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Shriner’s Widows Club. She enjoyed traveling very much and Branson, Missouri was a favorite destination.
A funeral service for Janet will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church at 2:00p.m. The Church is located at 7501 East Reno Avenue, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73110. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 North Midwest Boulevard, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73141.
