James E. Reeves, 98, was born April 30, 1914, in Anderson, IN, to parents Evertt & Essie (Riggs) Reeves and passed from this life June 19, 2012, at home in Oklahoma City. He had a Master’s Degree from the University of Indiana, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He married Shirley (Howell), October 25, 1941. They lived in Evansville, IN, and Tulsa, OK, before settling in Oklahoma City in 1963. They were long-time members of St. Luke’s UMC. James retired as the District Manager of Atlantic Richfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Shirley. He is survived by his son, Douglas Reeves of OKC; niece, Phyllis Jones of LaPorte, IN; and nephew, Jack Canada of Valparaiso, IN; and many other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be 10am, Saturday, June 22, 2012, at Rose Hill Burial Park.
