Earnest D. Davenport

Earnest Dewey Davenport, 70, passed away on April 26, 2018. Earnest was born on August 11, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK to Earnest (Bud) and Phyllis (Welch) Davenport. God and family meant everything to Earnest. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Earnest was an avid University of Oklahoma football fan. He even passed on his love of college football to his son, Gary. Playing pool and fishing was a passion of Earnest’s, especially bass fishing. Earnest was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Claudette Davenport; and brothers, Delbert Davenport and Jimmy Joe Waters. Survivors include his children, Patricia Arndt and husband Timothy, Lynn Davenport, Terrie Sullivan and husband Danny, Pamela Baxter and husband Lathon, Gary Davenport and wife Karen, and Stacy Davenport and husband Christopher; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous family members and friends who will miss him dearly. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel.
