Danny Floyd Selby

Born in Ada, Oklahoma, Danny was the beloved son of Floyd and Stella Selby and a cherished brother to Darryl Selby and Diana Fry. He grew up in Ratliff City, graduated from Fox High School. He worked as a social worker for the State of Oklahoma, then bulk plant manager for Dowell Schlumberger where he retired after 20 years.

Danny was known for his mild mannered, quiet, hardworking, and intelligent personality and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching OU football, the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Dallas Cowboys. He took pleasure in attending all his children and grandchildren’s events. As well as donating blood and avidly watching FOX news. He was passionate about the things he believed in, such as providing for his family. Danny had a generous spirit; he was always ready to help anyone in need. He graduated with his Bachelors in Sociology from East Central University. Danny received his registration from the Oklahoma State Board of Social Work. He enjoyed attending church with his wife, Betty Selby.

Danny is survived by wife Betty Ann Selby, daughter Dana Park and son Darin Selby, Dana’s husband Todd Park and their son Noah his wife Brittany, their son Liam Park, their daughter Kyli her husband Carson, their children Asher and Stella Smith, and Selby Darling Park, Darin’s daughter Natalie Laine Selby (Lanie).

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. during this time.

A memorial service to honor Danny’s life will be held on November 26th, 2024, at 2pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
